Virus Music began as an independent record label. After building a retail store for musicians (PAED) that featured a stage and a space for recording, Arizona's Under the Underground Compilation was produced. This album featuring 10 local artists/groups. 100 copies were given to each group and 4,000 were given away at the 2006 Gathering of the Juggalos.
After PAED, Virus & Intrinzik released their first collaborative effort (Area Code/Virus Music) which was a single that featured several bonus tracks.
With the combined efforts of both labels, Intrinz Ink Records (East Phoenix/Tempe/Mesa) and Virus Music (West Phoenix/Glendale/Avondale), a new standard was set for local ticket sales in Arizona. Tech N9ne's MLK Tour in Tempe, AZ was the first time local presales exceeded the existing standard, giving the two priority over future events.
In 2009, Developed Species was released, with a headlining performance at the Marquee Theatre, as the official release party.
After Virus Music established at Twilight Elite Recording Studio, the label began to officially sign artists. Judge Mental was the first artist to release a project under Virus Music. After its release, other artist were added to the roster, and The G Spot was built. Virus Music officially began to offer services for live sound, in addition to recording, production, and promotion.
After The G Spot closed its doors, Virus Music began working at Pyramix Studios.
The two owners partnered up in an effort to help salvage the venue, expanding on the idea of PAED, with a functional retail store.
It was later discovered that the building was not up to code. Without the ability to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy, it would be impossible to function as intended. The Axe, LLC was forced shut down and the building was later demolished.
Virus Music had a 30 minute set on Second Stage and decided to split the set in half. This gave 15 minutes to another group of Arizona artists, who also traveled to the 4-day music festival.
After returning to Arizona, Virus Music dissolved its partnerships. This included Intrinz Ink Records.
VIRAL BEATS was established in 2012 as a production company and recording studio, offering artist services such as business and DAW training.
Like VIRAL BEATS, M-Graphics was first established as a subsidiary of Virus Music. The record label was becoming a multimedia company, offering a range of artist production services from the state of Washington.
After 11 years between releases, Genetic Mutation was officially complete. This album is the first project to be 100% produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by VIRAL BEATS.
Virus Music now functions as the record label for all of the VIRAL BEATS releases. There have been 2 singles and 5 instrumental albums released, since the start of the YouTube channel.
